Verbetermarkt at Friesland Foods Domo

Friesland Foods Domo in the Netherlands recently had a Market Day or Verbetermarkt where all the Mini Businesses were invited to set up a stall. Each Mini Business team was asked to exhibit their achievements for 2008 and their goals for 2009. The Verbetermarkt which was housed in a large marquee was a huge success, giving each team the opportunity to share their achievements with their colleagues, families and special guests from within the organisation. An excited buzz was evident as spectators moved around the stalls asking questions and offering support. Everyone came away from the Verbetermarkt with a greater understanding of the challenges and successes faced by other teams in the organisation and with ideas of how and where they could assist and support one another.

Vitacress Salads hosts a Recognition Lunch to celebrate achievements in the workplace.: Vitacress Salads held their 7th Recognition Lunch on Monday 21st June when Nick Stenning, CEO and Mike Rushworth, MD of the UK Business Unit, presented 9 awards to individuals and teams throughout the business in recognition of their achievements.

Winners of the 2009 Best Factory of the Year Awards credit their success to Mission Directed Work Teams (MDW): Winners of the 2009 Best factory of the Year Awards, Barfoots of Botley and JohnsonDiversey attended the Best Factory Conference on 23rd March 2010.

CDI London clients once again shine at the annual Best Factory Awards: At the recent 2009 Best Factory Awards, Barfoots of Botley was awarded the 'Supply Chain Award' and was Highly Commended for the 'Best Small Company Award'.

NVQ's for Mission Directed Work Teams (MDW): CDI London has teamed up with Basingstoke College of Technology to offer National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ), with the Mission Directed Work Teams (MDW) programme.

Vitacress MDW Multi-Level Recognition Event – 30th June 2009: We were very privileged to have The Mayor of Basingstoke, Councillor Brian Gurden and his Mayoress, Eleanor attend our 4th Mission Directed Work Teams (MDW) Recognition Lunch today.

CDI London Team Training: Besides being in regular contact with each other by phone, the CDI London team meet every quarter for a day to share ideas, knowledge and experiences.

JOHNSONDIVERSEY WINS AWVN-INNOVATION TROPHY 1ST QUARTER 2009: CDI London client, JohnsonDiversey in Enschede Holland was awarded the Awyn Innovation Trophy on 23 April 2009.

Recognition of MDW Achievement at Vitacress UK: Although we are a few years into the MDWT implementation programme, we were guilty of never specifically rewarding our people for their contribution to the process.

Best Factory Awards (BFA) 2006: Vitacress Salads came out tops at 2006 BFA Award ceremony at the Park Lane Hotel in London on 29th September.

UK Manufacturing Excellence (MX) Awards 2005: Domino UK and JohnsonDiversey were joint winners of the Professional Engineering Award for People Effectiveness at the 2005 MX Awards Ceremony in London.

Strategic Manufacturing Awards: Taking place on 13th October 2009 in Düsseldorf Germany, Europe's manufacturing community will be rewarded for best practice at the inaugural Strategic Manufacturing Awards.

The Sunday Times 'Best Companies to Work For' Awards: Enter the The Sunday Times 'Best Companies ' 2010 competition.

MDW Show and Tell Conference 30 October 2009: The MDW Show & Tell Conference 2009 will be held in Johannesburg on Friday 30th October 2009.
