    BHP Billiton Suriname (BMS) began their Journey to world-class status in October 2007 and chose the Billiton Aluminium Operating System (BAOS) MDW as the tool to take the Suriname Operation into the future.

    The Operations at Central Mines was the first site in Suriname to roll out the BAOS Program. BMS decided to run with Goal Alignment and 5S as a simultaneous implementation at Central Mines.

    The management team at BMS is extremely dedicated to the BAOS program and sees the BAOS (MDW) system as a key element to fully engaging the minds of all BMS stakeholders.
